PRESENTATION: Training & Coaching Spanish-Speaking Caregivers to use Social-Communication Strategies

In this presentation, we describe a pilot study in which we partnered with Spanish-speaking caregivers to support the communication skills of their young children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The program included in person group training and individual coaching, via telehealth, on naturalistic communication strategies. Results indicated increase in caregivers’ use of the target strategies and caregivers’ satisfaction with the program.
