December Center Spotlight – Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago

Happy Holidays from the staff of Easter Seals Metro – Chicago.

In recent months we have had a significant increase in Family and Educator Consultations with new clients being referred from early intervention providers, diagnostic clinics, and school administrators.

In November, we hosted an Open House for families, teachers and professionals to come and check out our new space and learn more about our program. We had an amazing turn out and would like to thank our fellow Network Partners who were able to join us!

For the past few years the Chicago Children’s Museum has chosen The Autism Program (TAP) as their charities of choice. We have been a part of the Museum’s “Play for All” events since 2009 and participate in them quarterly. The Museum pays for our bus, all of our families’ admission and we have access to the Museum for an hour each time prior to them opening to the public, which is wonderful because many of our kids struggle with the crowds and noise level when it is busy. It is a safe, happy, and fun place for our kids and families to go to! We had a great turn out for our “Play for All” event in November and appreciate our continued partnership with the Chicago Children’s Museum!

Wishing you all a Joyous Holiday Season and a New Year filled with Peace and Happiness! Cheers to 2013!
